World's of Fun!!!

This was the first time for our family to take a trip to an amusement park. It was the most fun we have had in a long time. We went to World's of Fun in KC. Since it is only about 4 hours away from our house we just did a day trip.

I am a big roller coaster junky!! Though I am not a fan of the really tall ones but anything that will spin you around and flip you upside down I could ride all day! My husband isn't in to roller coasters that much so in the past i would ride with someone else or by myself. But this year Mimi was tall enough to ride on all the big rides (even though that meant they charged us adult price for her :P ). Her and I had so much fun going on the rides together! I took her on her very first roller coaster ( the boomerang).

After we got done with most of the big rides and had something to eat we took the kids to Snoopy's World. It's a section inside World's of fun that is designed for the kids. It was great cause Flavi could even get on all the rides. It was the best time watching the kids have fun. I can't wait until next year for us to go again. And by then Eva will be tall enough to ride the big rides with Mimi and I. I think we are going to make this an annual trip for our family. It was a great time for us to just get out and get away together and and have fun. Those times are very special to us.

5 YEARS OLD!!!

A lot of things have happened these last two months that I am very behind on putting things up on my blog. I also got a new camera that my wonderful husband got me but ended up having to get a new usb cable for it. So I haven't been able to upload my pictures until now. So here it is!!!

My Eva bear turned the BIG 5 in June!! It was such a fun time. Doing birthday parties for her are a lot of fun. She is my little princess and wants only the best most sparkly birthday decorations for her birthday party that you can find! We hunted all over until she found what she liked. The whole thing turned out really pretty.
We had a lot of people this time. We had most of the family over and some friends from church. It was quite a house full. ( I love having a full house!! ) My husband did most of the cooking along with my mother in law. (together they can make the best food!) And I baked the cake!!! That is one of my favorite parts about having a birthday party for one of my children, is making the cake. We don't go and spend money on a big fancy cake. That is not what is important to us. I let the kids pick out the flavor of cake they want and the color of frosting. They get to pick out their candles and what they want for a cake topper. And then I have fun creating the perfect cake for them!
Eva's special day was just that..... special! She had a great time enjoying all her cousins and friends and getting to spend the day dressed up as a pretty princess.

Our Family of 6!

 

I love this picture! This is our first family picture together after Gaby was born. It's fun to see all of us together.  The other day someone asked me how many people are in my family and I had to stop and count!! 6!!!! I can't believe how big our family has grown. And how fast everyone is growing up.

This school year Mimi will be in 2nd grade and Eva will be starting kindergarten.  It's an exciting time. It will be a new experience for Eva and a fun time for Mimi to see all her friends again. That means Flavi is going to be the oldest in the house during the days. I am going to enjoy spending sometime with my little man and having a baby to play with as well.

2 Weeks!

Gaby is two weeks old today! I can't believe it! God has really blessed my family and the timing these last two weeks couldn't have been better. My sister and her family came into town the day after Gaby was born. Her and my brother in law are amazing!! They were so much help to me around the house and with the kids (even though that meant there were 6 kids in the house under 6. My sister did a wonderful job and keeping it all under control). They even hung up pictures for me in my living room!! Since having a blood patch after having an epidural go wrong I needed all the help I could get.  A few days after they got here my birth-mom and her husband came into town to stay with us. It has been nice having the whole family around. And having my parents live so close is a blessing of its own. I am thankful for all their help. It's amazing to see God work and to remember that His timing is always the best!

Gabriela Joy

She has arrived! 

Gabriela Joy was born June 2nd 2011 at 9:04 am.

She weighed 8.10 lbs and 20in long.

She is my biggest baby so far! 

We love her very much. She is a very good baby so far.
And I am very glad at how well her other siblings get along with her too.
Even Flavi loves to give her kisses.

Stylish Easter Baskets.

Easter Sunday we were getting ready to go to my parents house for the evening. The kids were very excited because they were taking their Easter baskets with them to do a jelly bean hunt with my parents. As we were getting ready to leave our house Eva was getting very excited to get there. She was the first one ready and standing at the door to go. You could hear her saying "come on guys." Then she came into our room to check if we were ready and told my husband, "hurry up daddy before my Easter basket goes out of style!" My Eva bear is so cute!

It's Egg Time!

This was the first time for us to make Easter eggs at our house. In the past we have done them at Grandma's house. It was a lot of fun! And the girls did a very good job.

It was a good activity to do since Mimi has had a 4 day weekend.  I even made Resurrection Eggs for the kids this year. Now that the girls are getting bigger they are able to understand how and why Christ died for us and the Resurrection Eggs helped with that.

Now that Flavi is 2 this year he was able to enjoy hunting for eggs.

We had such a good time making and hunting for eggs!!!

Toothless!!!

My Mimi finally lost her first tooth last night! I am so proud of her. She is growing up so fast. Its been fun watching her play with her tooth all week and last night she came running out of her bedroom bleeding from her mouth and so happy she had pulled it out!! We don't believe in the tooth fairy but we do put the tooth under the pillow for money. She was so excited last night she couldn't stop talking and checking on me to make sure I knew which pillow on her bed she had put the tooth under. She is such a big girl!!

THE CIRCUS!!

I TOOK THE KIDS TO THE CIRCUS FOR THE FIRST TIME!

AND FLAVI WANTS TO DIVE THE MOTORCYCLES! SO I GUESS MY KIDS ARE GOING TO GROW UP AND ALL JOIN THE CIRCUS!!! :)

Footsteps

Flavi loves wearing boots! Any boots he can find around the house he will put on. This morning they were mine. Seeing him walk around in my boots showing everyone saying "mama's boots" reminded me of a couple verses....

Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

My prayer is that as I try to follow in the steps of Christ I will leave a good example to my children to do the same. That my example to them will be one that is showing of Christs love for us and that His way is unfailing.

A Mama of 3 & 1/2!

Hello to  to everyone!

I started this blog to share about my children and the daily things that happen with our family. We have many family and friends that live far from us and I thought this would be a good way to share pictures and up dates with them. I have only been doing this blog for a little over a week and I absolutely love it! And my children love the fact that they can pose for the camera everyday!
My husband and I have been married for almost 9 years. We have 3 children so far. I am pregnant with baby number 4 (that makes me a mommy to 3 and 1/2!!)  Our  children are 6, 4, and 2. Our newest addition will be born in June.
My husband and I are involved in our church. He is our church worship leader and I am apart of our youth group ministries. We love the Lord our God and it is our goal to raise our children according to His will.

Indoor Fun!!

                                WHAT ARE BIG SISTERS FOR!?!

Ready For School.

My Mimi Girl. She is growing up so fast. As her first grade year comes to a close its becoming more obvious actually how much growing up she has done in the last year. Its fun to watch her be excited to go to school every morning and come home interested in doing her homework (I hope that lasts all the way though to high school!) She is so willing to learn and to be taught. Its not only in the area of school. Last night she was such a big help me, her and her little sister. They were in a cleaning mood. Both were very willing to help me in any way they could. They helped with dishes, cleaning the table, and wiping off the fronts of the dishwasher and stove. I even got Eva to take the Magic Eraser and clean some of my walls! I am very proud of my children. Its fun to watch them all grow up. 

My Little Musician!

It's so fun to watch Flavi's passion for music come out. I think we have another worship leader in the family! All of our children love music and singing but Flavi seems to have a musical talent. He likes to take out his little size guitar and try to play along with Abdel but his most favorite of all are the drums. He bangs on everything and when I try to tell him to be quite he tells me no that it's  his music.  We always catch him on the drum set at church after service is done banging his heart out with a big smile on his face. Now his newest instrument he has added to his collection is this kids size accordion. It was given to him by a lady in our church. He absolutely loves it!  I can't wait to watch him grow up and see how God will use his talent for the kingdom.

Quiet TIme.

This was our quiet time yesterday. All of them sat down together and read their Bibles! We had told Mimi before that when she was old enough to read well on her own we would buy her her own big girl Bible. So yesterday we made the trip to our Family Christian Book Store and found her a pink princess  Bible. She is in love it. Yesterday she couldn't put it down. She read 3 chapters in Psalm all by herself. So when I said it was time to sit down and look at a book they all grabbed their Bibles. I am a proud mama!
I have also started a nightly devo time with the girls before bed. Where we read a little out of our devo book and then look up the verses. We are also working on the books of the Bible and where they are located. I am happy that they are really into it.

My Baby Bump.

My baby bump. My bundle of joy! We are so excited to be having our fourth baby. God has really blessed us with our children. I love the feeling of being pregnant (minus the first 3 months!!) The feeling of a new life God has put inside me is the best feeling to me. I am 28 weeks along and am awaiting the day when our little Gabriela Joy will be brought into this world. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Every once in a while Eva will tell me, " Mommy, your belly is getting big!" I love watching my children await the time when their new little sister will be here. All of the talks they have of the games they will play with her and how they will help mommy take care of her. Even Flavi  walks around the house talking about Gaby! June is fast approaching and we are ready. Especially me!
